Why We Give

God is a generous God. He gives us the world. He provides for our clothing, our homes, and our food. He gives forgiveness and the promise of new life in Jesus. God also looks to re-create his image in the hearts of his people. 

We respond to his goodness and generosity with our gifts and offerings. God does not set a particular amount, though a tithe (one-tenth) is something he has asked of his people. Above all, God wants his people to be cheerful in their generosity.

When someone gives to God through Lord of Life, that gift goes to support God’s ministry accomplished through his people at Lord of Life. Our gifts and offerings demonstrate a love of God and a love of others. Along with God, we rejoice at the generous hearts he creates within us.
