Here at MOPS, we gather moms.  We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together.  That’s why we rally women, in our own neighborhoods, to let you know that you are not alone, you are loved and supported; and to help you become a more brave and confident mom, one gathering at a time.

So, whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom or seventh-time mom, you are welcome here.  Whether you are an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, single mom, foster mom, stepmom or any other type of mom, you are welcome here.

To support you in your journey, Lord of Life offers MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers, and MOMSNext (mothers of elementary school aged kids), a Christian-based program designed to strengthen and encourage women with children ages newborn to kindergarten, and 1st through 5th grade. Open to any mom in the community, MOPS is focused on:

  • Celebrating Motherhood
  • Meeting Needs
  • Making Connections
  • Experiencing God’s Love

MOPS and MOMSNEXT gather at Lord of Life the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month (September through May) from 9:00 am to 11:15 am. Children can be dropped off at the nursery beginning at 8:45am.

We meet for fellowship, breakfast, devotion and prayer, a video/speaker, and the occasional craft or service project.  We also have small group discussion time to really connect with our sister moms, ask questions like “…is it normal for my kid to…” (yes, yes, it is!), and to celebrate small victories like taking a shower, sleeping through the night, or re-learning 2nd grade math!  Mentor moms help guide, encourage, and pray for our moms.

Cost is $9 per meeting; plus an annual international membership fee of $31. 95. If money is tight, we offer scholarships to moms in need.
