KIDZ LYFE Resources

You have come to the right place to find answers to the question: What can I do to teach my child about God’s word? We have resources to help you do just that.

GodTime Kid’s Devotions

God Time” is something we encourage parents to do each week with their kids. There are four different  daily devotions to reinforce what kids learned on Sunday in kids’ worship.

Preschool

Introduce your child to God’s word using these handy weekly cues that provide a scripture verse for each week of the month.

K-3rd Graders

Even though kids in early elementary (kindergarten through 3rd grade) are beginning to read things on their own, most are not mature enough to have a God time by themselves. Parents are encouraged to do this activity with your children.

4th-5th Graders

Encourage kids to choose different days during the week to do these devotions. Most 4th and 5th graders are capable of having a “quiet time” on their own once they’ve been taught how, but they still need an adult to prompt them and/or follow up with them.

Parent Cue

The monthly elementary parent cue card provides scriptures for each week and helps parents to teach God’s word to their children. The cards feature:
1. a life application.
2. a memory verse.
3. the week’s Bible story.
4. a cue to prompt parents to connect with their kids each week.

Parent Cues are available each Sunday morning at Kidz Lyfe small group time and Kidz Lyfe worship.

Time Cue

The Parent Cue is a Morning Time, Meal Time, Drive Time, and Bed time cue for each month. By following these simple cues based on Deuteronomy 6:7 – “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home, when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” – a parent can make the most of everyday moments to instill faith and character in the heart of his or her child.
